Band 2 Clerical Officer – Audiology Service
Our busy Audiology service is looking for a reliable and dependable Band 2 Clerical Officer to join our administration team.
This permanent role is 37.5 hours per week and will be based at both Sandringham Road Clinic and Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
The successful applicant will provide admin support to the Audiology Team, ensuring the smooth running of our service, which offers a full range of adult and paediatric diagnostic and rehabilitative services.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate patient notes, filing, and data entry onto Trust and Audiology systems.
- Answer telephones and handle patient enquiries.
- Support day‑to‑day operations of the audiology service.
- Exercise effective teamwork and uphold the Trust’s Vision & Values.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths grade C or above (or equivalent).
- GCSE English grade C or above (or equivalent).
- Competent use of basic computer programmes.
- Experience working with the general public.
- Experience handling telephone calls.
- Previous administration role, preferably patient‑facing.
- Experience working with people with hearing and communication difficulties.
- Knowledge of the Trust’s patient management system (CAMIS) and the audiology system (Audit Base) is an advantage.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, legible handwriting, tactful mature attitude.
- Ability to work within a team, unsupervised, grasp new concepts, self‑motivated and flexible.
