Job Overview We are looking for a full‑time Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry based at Bushey Fields Hospital Dudley.

The role is part of a well‑established Old Age Psychiatry service that provides inpatient and community care in the Black Country, covering Dudley, Stourbridge and Halesowen.

Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Lead a multidisciplinary team of doctors, Clinical Practice Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists.

Provide clinical leadership and support for both inpatient wards and community services, maintaining a Continuity of Care model.

Develop and implement new approaches to care, including liaison to primary care through the MCP model and an Old Age Home Treatment Team.

Support postgraduate psychiatric, GP and undergraduate training across local universities, including Birmingham, Grenada and Aston.

Ensure clinical governance, compliance with GMC registration, Disclosure and Barring Service checks, and adherence to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
