Overview
We are recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist to work with the Darwen CMHT at Daisyfield Mill, Blackburn.
The post is full‑time (10 PAs) and is part of six CMHT Adult Consultant Psychiatrist posts (6 WTE) in the Pennine Lancs locality.
The post holder will not have inpatient responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership to the CMHT MDT.
- Work with medical and non‑medical colleagues including the Mental Health Nursing team, Pharmacists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers.
- Teach and support residents, medical students and other professionals.
Qualifications
- Full GMC registration, MBBS or equivalent.
- On the Specialist Register of the GMC or eligible to join within 6months of interview.
- Section12 approved and AC status or eligible within 6months.
- At least 2.5 SPAs as a standard for a full‑time post.
