6-Month Consultant Haematologist Vacancy We are ideally looking for someone with an interest in Myeloid disorders; however, applicants with other sub-specialty interests will also be considered.
Key Requirements MD, Ph D, or equivalent clinical experience is not required but would be looked upon favourably.
Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT.
Experience and expertise in the diagnosis and management of haematological malignancies.
Ability to offer expert clinical opinion in both emergency and elective aspects of haematology, taking full and independent responsibility for clinical decisions.
Up-to-date skills in the management of patients with acute haematological emergencies and provision of level 3 care.
Confidence in diagnosing haematological malignancies.
Confidence in routine laboratory haematology, including bone marrow reporting.
Understanding of the structure of the NHS and how it operates.
Experience in research and audit.
