Role Overview
Senior Support Worker – Musculo‑skeletal (MSK) Physiotherapy Outpatients, part‑time (30 hrs/week) based at Crediton and Okehampton Community Hospitals, Mid Devon.
Responsibilities
- Support qualified physiotherapy staff in delivering a high quality musculo‑skeletal outpatient service across Mid Devon.
- Work with patients on a 1:1 basis following a rehabilitation programme set by the physiotherapist.
- Lead exercise groups for patients, facilitating group sessions as part of the treatment programme.
- Carry out other departmental duties such as administration, housekeeping and general clinic support.
- Use electronic patient record systems and order equipment when required, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Provide excellent customer care and communication during all patient interactions.
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Excellent customer care and communication skills.
- Good organisational and administrative abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency and comfort working with electronic patient records.
- Flexible, adaptable, reliable and punctual, capable of working autonomously and within a team.
