Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care across the medical retina service.
- Lead MR clinics.
- Supervise trainees and support staff development.
- Contribute to audit, service improvement, and research activities.
Qualifications
- GMC registration and CCT or CESR in Ophthalmology with medical retina expertise.
- Proven experience in managing medical retina conditions and uveitis.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- CCT or equivalent or within 6 months of a date Full registration and on GMC Specialist Register FRCOphth or equivalent Fellowship - Medical Retina Fellowship - Uveitis.
- Higher degree (PhD or MD) Consultant experience Academic Prizes, Wide experience in all aspects of Ophthalmology Established portfolio of teaching experience.
- Hands on experience with service development Participation in clinical trials Cataract Surgery Evidence of publications in peer reviewed journals Management experience.
- Clinical Leadership Working in multidisciplinary teams Training junior doctors and allied healthcare professionals Clinical governance including audit Communication and IT skills, Training the Trainer Course ARCP assessor Team player, Team player and flexible Patient focused Innovative.
