Job Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Waltham Forest Clinical Health Psychological Services as a band 6 qualified Clinical Associate in Psychology (CAP). The successful post holder will work as part of a specialist multidisciplinary team providing psychologically informed assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions for adults experiencing psychological difficulties associated with physical health conditions, including long-term conditions, adjustment to health and medically unexplained symptoms. The successful candidate will be working under the supervision of a qualified HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist and play a vital role in improving access to psychological therapies, support recovery, promote community engagement, including partnership-working with various stakeholders. The role provides an opportunity to collaborate with patients, carers, healthcare professionals, community organisations, and voluntary sector partners to deliver, Main Duties of the Job The successful candidate will:Deliver psychological assessments, formulation and evidence-based interventions for adults with complex mental health presentations in the context of physical health conditions. Assessments and interventions will be delivered in person, telephone or digital platform. Develop collaborative treatment plans and support service users to achieve agreed recovery and wellbeing goals. Undertake risk assessments and contribute to the psychological management of risk in accordance with service policies and procedures. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, primary care, secondary care services, social care, community organisations and voluntary sector partners to coordinate care and improve outcomes. Support the development of psychologically informed care across health and social care settings, acting as a psychological resource to colleagues and partner organisations. Contribute to service evaluation, audit, quality improvement initiatives and research activity to enhance service delivery and patient experience. Work closely with lived experience representatives and local communities to co-produce and co-develop services. Participate in regular clinical and managerial supervision. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records, prepare reports and correspondence as required. Receive opportunities for continuing professional development, reflective practice, training.

• , Undergraduate degree in Psychology with Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) with the British Psychological Society., Undergraduate degree in psychology (with graduate basis for registration with BPS)
• MCAP qualification from an accredited CAP training provider, Experience of work in the NHS with adults with complex mental health needs

Starting with NELFT NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing onengagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital.

Probationary Period This post will be subject to a probationary period. Select One: High Cost Area Supplement Outer London (B&D, Redbridge, Havering and Waltham Forest, CEME) This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,870 to a maximum of £6,137 p.a. pro rata for part time).
