We are recruiting qualified Clinical Associates in Psychology (CAPs) to our adult mental health services in North East London. The positions are full‑time and open to individuals who have completed the MSc Clinical Associate in Psychology course with an associated University. You will work full‑time as a CAP within one of our mental health and well‑being teams, undertaking assessment, formulation and evidence‑based psychological interventions for people with complex mental health issues, and developing links with community resources to support social inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence‑based psychological interventions to individuals and groups presenting with severe or complex mental health problems.
- Facilitate and administer the Psychological Pathways Course.
- Attend regular team meetings and supervision sessions.
- Perform triage and clinical harm reviews as part of processing new referrals into the service and the course.
- Develop and maintain meaningful links between service users and community‑based resources.
- Play a key role in integrating psychological professionals within multidisciplinary teams and in developing accessible and coherent pathways into psychological therapy.
Qualifications
- Applicants must have completed and passed the MSc Clinical Associate in Psychology training, be registered with the British Psychological Society and the Wider Psychological Workforce Register, and show a commitment to working within the NHS as a CAP.
- Experience working with learning disabilities, autism, severe mental health difficulties and behaviours that challenge is required.
- A Disclosure and Barring Service check is mandatory.

This post attracts a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,714 to a maximum of £5,941 per annum pro rata for part‑time).
