Role Overview

The PCN has a vacancy for a highly motivated and organised HR and Management Administrator on a permanent, part‑time contract basis (22.5 hours per week, Monday-Wednesday).

This role provides support to the HR Manager and the wider PCN management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment support: authorise recruitment, post adverts, monitor applications, liaise with recruiting managers, arrange interviews, notify unsuccessful applicants, review new appointments with HR Manager.
  • Onboarding: manage reference checks, set up new employees on Bright HR, Teamnet, S1 and smartcards, conduct DBS checks, draft induction plans, issue mandatory policies, maintain personnel files.
  • General HR administration: maintain documentation, draft correspondence, coordinate probation, 1:1 reviews, appraisals, update holidays, monitor sickness absence, manage e‑learning, ensure right‑to‑work and DBS records, conduct regular audits, support review of processes and policies.
  • PCN management support: draft Board agendas, organise PLT sessions, attend Board meetings and take minutes, arrange other meetings, assist with event planning, supply meeting food, purchase and issue staff badges, coordinate PCN newsletter, manage stationery and printer consumables, update the PCN organisation chart, weekly check GPs PPA ID on S1, assist with health & safety.

Qualifications & Skills

  • System One Primary Care, Bright HR and Teamnet experience.
  • Minimum Grade 5 qualifications with GCSE English and Maths.
  • Administrative experience in a primary care or NHS setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel).
  • Experience in taking meeting minutes and distributing them.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent coordination, organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Adept at multitasking, self‑starter, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Working Hours

22.5 hours per week – Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (flexibility on days may be available).
