Overview

As a Regional Peripatetic Senior Carer with Barchester care homes you will look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person‑centred care and support. You will carry out a range of clinical tasks, including taking blood pressure, and work across three different homes in the region. Travel will be paid per mile and you will need to be flexible with working days and nights, bank holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide person‑centred care to residents, ensuring dignity and preferences are respected.

• Carry out clinical tasks such as measuring blood pressure and other routine observations.

• Plan each resident’s care, including reviews and risk assessments.

• Lead and inspire colleagues, introducing ideas and changes to improve staff and resident experience.

• Manage travel between three homes, with mileage paid, and adapt to a flexible shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Level 2 NVQ or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.

• Experience providing care and support to older people.

• Ability to monitor and plan care, including risk assessments.

• Strong communication skills and confident team player capable of leadership.

• Willingness to complete all regulatory and statutory training and comply with clinical policies and strategies.

• Comfortable working long shifts that may involve standing for extended periods.
