Overview The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is accountable for strategic leadership on the development and delivery of high-quality clinical pathways and models of care.
It requires extensive collaboration with the wider Clinical Executive team, including the Chief Nursing and Allied Health Officer and Chief Operating Officer.
Responsibilities Chair the Professional Council and lead on professional standards and medical workforce governance.
Develop and implement the overall medical strategy for Sirona in partnership with voluntary, community and third‑sector organisations.
Engage in external influencing and networking to maintain strong, mutually credible alliances with partners.
Collaboratively generate or secure opportunities for research.
Contribute expert guidance to the setting and delivery of wider organisational strategy as a senior team member.
Develop a strong, achievable business plan and oversee robust financial management.
Lead a culture of strong governance and astute risk management.
Build effective relationships with clinicians, partners and stakeholders across the wider system.
Qualifications Credible, experienced and inspirational senior clinical leader with a consistent track record of improving outcomes and addressing health inequalities.
Ability to lead across organisational and system boundaries.
