The North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust are looking to recruit to 2 Band 6 Deputy Team Leader vacancies. The posts are full time and permanent. The posts will be based at North Staffordshire CAMHS, Dragon Square, North StokeCMHS, Roundwell Street, Tunstall and South Stoke CAMHS inBlurton. The successful postholder will:

  • Support the Team Leader in the day to day running of the community mental health team, offering support and advice to the wider team.
  • Work as part of the leadership team within the CAMHS community mental health team under direct/indirect supervision of the Team Leader.
  • Take part in multi-disciplinary triage meetings reviewing referrals received to the team.
  • Complete initial needs assessments as needed with newly referred patients and offer oversight and guidance to core team members.

Main duties of the job To deliver specific therapeutic interventions to this group of patients and liaise with other professionals regarding progress and outcomes. To ensure that practice remains abreast of new developments and to develop and maintain standards and implement change in respect of this. To liaise with other professionals and agencies both statutory and non-statutory and to provide a link between hospital and community and/or primary and secondary services., To support Team Leader with the day to day operational and clinical delivery of the CAMHS Team. - To deputise in the absence of the Team Leader. - To work alongside the Team Leader and Clinical Pathway Lead in embedding the clinical pathways within the CAMHS teams. - To develop relationships and strengthen links and liaise between the different care providers and partner agencies.

  • A qualified/registered mental health Practitioner (Mental Health Nurse/LD Nurse, Social Worker, OT)
  • Experience in CAMHS, Experience of working therapeutically in community settings at Band 6
  • Experience of CAMHS Clinical Pathways, Knowledge of various approaches to mental health assessment for children and young people
  • Skills in co-ordinating complex care packages
