Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a locally based Salaried GP to join our thriving, high achieving training practice for 4-6 sessions per week.
We are a well‑established, patient‑focused practice based in Nantwich, looking to appoint a local, enthusiastic and innovative Salaried GP to join our passionate, friendly team who are committed to delivering excellent patient care.

Practice Environment
Our Practice is within a purpose‑built Primary Care Centre in the heart of Nantwich, with 20 clinical rooms and an operating suite on the ground floor providing a minor surgery provision and an onsite Research Team.
We serve a population of circa 13,000 patients and our medical team comprises 7 GP Partners, 3 salaried GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Nursing Associates, Health Care Support Workers and 2 First Contact Physiotherapists.
We are part of the Nantwich and Rural PCN and currently have ARRS roles in Care Coordinator, Nurse Associate, 2 Pharmacy Technicians, 2 Pharmacists and a social prescriber.
We also have an onsite dedicated Research Team with 3 Nurses, Admin and three of our own GP Partners, with valuable research studies constantly ongoing.
Kiltearn is also a GP training practice for F2 and ST3 Doctors and Nursing Students.
Partners have interests in coaching, career conversation facilitation and appraisal, and one GP Partner is the Education Lead for the PCN.
Responsibilities
- Undertake all normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
- Attend 4–6 sessions per week.
- Use EMIS web for clinical record keeping.
- Provide a low number of home visits supported by the District Nurse and ACP visiting team referral service.
- Participate in ICB representation.
- Attend protected team and clinical meetings monthly, along with Lunch & Learn events.
- Encourage outside interests and enhance current external interests from GP Partners.
- Conduct morning and afternoon surgeries with 10‑minute appointments, a mixture of telephone and face‑to‑face consultations.
- Complete all paperwork associated with patient care in a timely fashion.
- On‑call up to one session per week.
- Attend all PLT (protected learning time) events if possible, except when on leave.
- Be ready to participate in practice research projects and teaching as opportunities arise.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- UK driving licence.
- Current CPR certificate.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
