We are looking for an Administration Assistant to support our friendly Sexual Health Service team based in Chester. The role involves managing patient appointments, maintaining electronic records, providing a welcoming reception, handling enquiries, supporting referral processes, and contributing to service audits, marketing and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient appointments and maintain electronic patient records
  • Provide a professional and welcoming reception service
  • Handle telephone and e‑mail enquiries with excellent customer care
  • Update patient information accurately and confidentially
  • Support referral processes and clinic administration
  • Produce correspondence and administrative documentation
  • Assist with service audits, reporting, and data collection
  • Support communication, marketing and patient feedback initiatives
  • Order supplies and support general office administration
  • Travel to community locations across Cheshire West & Chester when required

Qualifications and Skills

  • GCSE-level education (or equivalent)
  • Good IT literacy and experience using office software packages
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organised, efficient and able to prioritise a busy workload
  • Customer‑focused and professional when dealing with patients and colleagues
  • Able to work independently while also being a supportive team member
  • Adaptable, proactive and solutions‑focused
  • Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion
