We are looking for an Administration Assistant to support our friendly Sexual Health Service team based in Chester. The role involves managing patient appointments, maintaining electronic records, providing a welcoming reception, handling enquiries, supporting referral processes, and contributing to service audits, marketing and communications.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient appointments and maintain electronic patient records
- Provide a professional and welcoming reception service
- Handle telephone and e‑mail enquiries with excellent customer care
- Update patient information accurately and confidentially
- Support referral processes and clinic administration
- Produce correspondence and administrative documentation
- Assist with service audits, reporting, and data collection
- Support communication, marketing and patient feedback initiatives
- Order supplies and support general office administration
- Travel to community locations across Cheshire West & Chester when required
Qualifications and Skills
- GCSE-level education (or equivalent)
- Good IT literacy and experience using office software packages
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Organised, efficient and able to prioritise a busy workload
- Customer‑focused and professional when dealing with patients and colleagues
- Able to work independently while also being a supportive team member
- Adaptable, proactive and solutions‑focused
- Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion
