Senior Care Assistant – Agincare – Weston‑super‑Mare
We are looking for an experienced care professional to join our team at Agincare's Sedgemoor care home.
This permanent role offers competitive pay at £13.46 per hour and opportunities for career development up to QCF Level5.
Key Responsibilities
- Person‑centred care
- Provide bathing, dressing, and oral care according to residents’ preferences, promoting choice and independence.
- Care reviews
- Participate in and contribute to care reviews to ensure care plans reflect residents’ needs.
- Medication administration
- Safely administer residents’ medication as per clinical procedures.
- Social activity
- Lead or participate in trips, social engagements and activities within the home.
- Leadership & support
- Shadow new starters, support existing staff with development, and may lead the home in the absence of senior managers.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 12 months right to work in the UK.
- NVQ Level3 – Health and Social Care qualification or working towards it.
- Flexible to work a 48‑hour week, including alternate weekends.
