Senior Care Assistant – Bank

Akari Care is looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team in North Shields.

The role is a temporary, bank position, supporting care assistants to deliver high‑quality care to residents.

Job Summary

In this role you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality care to residents, finalising care plans, organising social activities and supervising junior staff while working within a value‑driven team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality personal care and support to residents.
  • Observe, review and finalise care planning needs.
  • Organise and facilitate social and recreational activities.
  • Train, supervise and support junior and new colleagues.
  • Collaborate within a care team that prioritises resident‑centred values.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Experience as a senior or experienced care assistant.
  • Caring nature with a personal approach to each resident.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change at short notice.
  • Warm, approachable and respectful manner.
