Main duties of the job:

  • Assist with the co-ordination of a portfolio of clinical trials across various disease sites.
  • Provide administrative and data management support for all aspects of trial organisation as an integrated member of the network team.
  • Contribute to the efficient set up and delivery of research within the UHB contributing to the performance metrics set for the UHB.

Person Specification:

  • Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in research/NHS/hospital environment.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience of using patient information systems.
  • Experience of working in a clinical trial unit.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in healthcare.
  • Proven further education in IT.
  • GCP certificate.

Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of medical and research terminology.
  • Knowledge of ethical and R&D approval process.
