To provide safe driving for the Clinicians based within the CAV 24/7 service. This includes carrying out accurate vehicle checks and stocking/cleaning the cars as appropriate. The post holder is required to drive an equipped CAV 24/7 vehicle and transport GPs safely between primary care centres, patients' homes or any other locations as necessary for the GP to perform their duties. The GP Out of Hours (OOH) Driver will form part of a team who will assist the wider OOH team to provide an effective OOH service, adhering to accepted policies and procedures.
Urgent Primary Care access is changing in Cardiff and Vale and we are looking for Drivers to join and expand our existing multi-disciplinary Team. We are looking for a permanent, part-time night worker to cover our driving shifts every Friday night. Typical shifts can include daytime, evening and overnights. Weekends working is included.
Responsibilities- Drive an equipped GP OOH vehicle and transport GPs safely between primary care centres, patients' homes or other locations as necessary for the GP to perform their duties.
- Carry out accurate vehicle checks and stock/clean the cars as appropriate.
- Work as part of a team to support the wider OOH service and ensure efficient service delivery.
- Be flexible in work patterns to cover driving shifts, including nights, Fridays, weekends, and other shifts as required.
- Follow established policies and procedures in all duties.
- Must be able to operate an equipped GP OOH vehicle and transport GPs safely between locations as required.
- Flexible with shifts and able to work nights and weekends as part of a permanent, part-time role.
- The ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team to support OOH service delivery.
