We are looking for a Consultant Radiologist based primarily at the Cardiff Breast Centre, University Hospital Llandough, with close links to General Radiology. The post holder will also provide sub‑specialist radiology services according to experience and interests.
Responsibilities
- Work with current consultants to consolidate secondary care services for the residents of Cardiff and the Vale.
- Provide sub‑specialist breast and general radiology services.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including breast care nurses, a research team and a physiotherapist.
- Interface with Breast Test Wales, Plastic Surgery colleagues in Swansea, and the All Wales Genetics Service.
- Co‑operate with oncology services delivered at nearby Velindre Hospital.
- Engage in academic research and teaching in collaboration with Cardiff University’s School of Medicine.
Qualifications
- Must be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within six months of expected CCT/CESR at interview.
- Applicants must provide referees covering the last three years of employment or training.
- If currently or most recently employed as a substantive or long‑term locum Consultant (over 12 months) must also nominate Medical Director as an additional referee.
Benefits
The role is full time and is offered under the Welsh Consultant contract with a basic salary range of £114,099–£166,585 per annum. Consideration will be given to flexible working arrangements.
