Overview

Spire Cardiff Hospital, located in Pontprennau near Cardiff, is seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our bank team.

This role provides an exemplary pharmacy service in line with current legislation, professional standards and clinical requirements, supporting clinical teams, optimising medicines management and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an exemplary pharmacy service in line with current legislation, professional standards and clinical requirements.
  • Offer expert advice to consultants, clinicians and patients, ensuring the safe, appropriate and cost-effective use of medicines.
  • Support the safe management of medicines across the hospital, ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Promote a multidisciplinary, patient-centred approach to delivering high-quality healthcare.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and safe and effective clinical practice.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Pharmacist with GPh C registration (no restrictions).
  • Previous hospital experience (minimum 2 years desirable).
  • Experience with SAP desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with a personable, empathetic approach.
  • Team player who thrives in a supportive clinical environment.
  • Strong clinical judgement and proactive approach.
