We have an exciting opportunity for a Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive clinical team at our long established practice in Camberley that is part of the Surrey Heath PCN and Federation.
The Salaried GP will provide high‑quality primary care services to patients registered with the practice, including temporary patients.
The role involves delivering clinical care, participating in practice meetings, and contributing to the overall functioning and development of the practice.

Responsibilities
- Providing high‑quality clinical care to patients, including consultations, history taking, examination, diagnosis, treatment and follow up.
- Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems.
- Managing a range of acute and chronic medical conditions, providing appropriate care and advice.
- Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
- Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standard and using agreed clinical systems.
- Collecting data for audit purposes.
- Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.
- Refer patients to secondary care or other healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Working sessions covering 8:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday, Saturdays 9:00 to 17:00, as part of a rota, including working as "Duty Doctor".
- Updating and signing repeat prescriptions, dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Reviewing and actioning lab reports, managing Doc Man and other clinical correspondence.
- Participating in a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home.
Qualifications and Experience
- Medical Degree – GMC fully registered.
- Medical indemnity cover, and active on the Performers list.
- Evidence of professional development.
- Good communication (oral / written) skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications, clinical results and request systems, and EMIS.
- Good understanding of GP practice operations, the Quality Outcome Framework, and Network DES Impact and Investment Fund processes.
- Data gathering and interpretation skills.
- Commitment to multi‑professional team working.
- Willingness to develop, with a clear understanding of primary care services, operations, and procedures.
- Understanding of current professional issues and developments within the NHS, and of clinical governance and quality issues.
- Valid driver’s licence with car insurance and ability to travel.
- Reliable and flexible, willing and able to work on a rota, visit patients and adapt to working hours to meet the needs of the practice.
- Problem‑solving and solution‑focused approach.
- Innovative, adaptable, able to embrace, champion and adapt to new ways of delivering primary healthcare.
- Assertive commitment to attend forums or training as learning needs are identified.
- Experience as a GP trainer, teaching, assessing and supporting learners in practice.
- Experience of leading, motivating and developing others.
- Experience of driving quality improvement.
- MRCGP (may not be required for qualification before 2007).
- Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education for Healthcare Professionals (role‑specific requirement).
