About the Role
As an Admin Assistant at Barchester care home, you will help us deliver quality care and support to our residents.
Your daily duties will include answering phone calls, managing files, supporting managers, greeting visitors, engaging with residents, and guiding prospective clients and their families through the facilities.
You will also contribute to creating a vibrant, happy environment for everyone on the premises.
The role is 32 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday (9am–5pm), with occasional weekend coverage as needed.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls and direct enquiries appropriately.
- Maintain and organize patient and administrative files.
- Support management with routine administrative tasks.
- Meet and greet visitors and prospective clients.
- Engage with residents and their families to understand their needs.
- Provide guided tours of the care home for prospective clients.
- Contribute to a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Ability to multi‑task and handle a busy environment.
- Good computer skills and familiarity with office software.
- Confident telephone manner and professional communication skills.
- People‑oriented personality with a genuine interest in residents and their families.
