6-Month Consultant Haematologist Vacancy
We are ideally looking for someone with an interest in Myeloid disorders; however, applicants with other sub-specialty interests will also be considered.
Key Requirements
- MD, PhD, or equivalent clinical experience is not required but would be looked upon favourably.
- Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT.
- Experience and expertise in the diagnosis and management of haematological malignancies.
- Ability to offer expert clinical opinion in both emergency and elective aspects of haematology, taking full and independent responsibility for clinical decisions.
- Up-to-date skills in the management of patients with acute haematological emergencies and provision of level 3 care.
- Confidence in diagnosing haematological malignancies.
- Confidence in routine laboratory haematology, including bone marrow reporting.
- Understanding of the structure of the NHS and how it operates.
- Experience in research and audit.
- Willingness to undertake additional professional responsibilities at local, regional, or national levels.
