Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) 3 Posts in Barnsley

We are looking for passionate and skilled Health Visitors to join our Public Health Nursing Service in Barnsley. In this role, you will deliver the Healthy Child Programme, providing evidence-based care that promotes health, reduces inequalities, and safeguards children, young people, and families. You will work closely with families to assess health needs, plan and implement interventions, and provide support for those with complex needs. This includes managing risk, undertaking safeguarding responsibilities, and contributing to multi-agency working to achieve positive outcomes. As part of the team, you will also lead public health initiatives within the community, mentor colleagues and students, and ensure high standards of clinical governance. Experienced practitioners will take a lead role in managing complex cases, supervising staff, and developing innovative approaches to care.,

To provide evidence based public health nursing practice that promotes and improves health and addresses inequalities at individual, family and community level. Lead the delivery of the healthy child programme to improve health and wellbeing and safeguard children, young people and families. Develop and implement structured interventions for children and families with complex needs including assessments, appropriate management of risks and providing professional and clinical supervision to other team members.

You will be a qualified Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (Health Visitor) with a Level 6 or above qualification and a commitment to continuous professional development. You will have experience of working in a community setting, delivering public health programmes, and safeguarding vulnerable children and families.,

• Ability to undertake travel in connection with the post duties
• Willing to undertake training and continuous professional development in connection with the post
