Job Overview
A 4‑session salaried GP role at The Dove Valley Practice, Barnsley.
This is a fixed‑term contract for 12 months with the possibility of working during term time only.
The contract will be BMA compliant and will include a detailed job plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide GP sessions as required.
- Work collaboratively with 7 partners, 2 salaried GPs, 2 physician associates and one advanced clinical practitioner.
- Participate in chronic disease clinics and minor illness clinics led by nurses and PAs.
- Support QOF achievement and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in continuing professional education and uphold high clinical standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Full UK GMC registration and licence to practice.
- Completion of VTS or equivalent and eligibility to work in the UK.
- MBCh B/MBBS qualification and DBS check satisfied.
- Valid UK driving licence with vehicle access (Performers list).
- Up‑to‑date medical indemnity.
- Experience within UK NHS general practice.
- Experience with the Systm One clinical system.
- Experience in medical education, clinical audit and contraceptive implant/coils management.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organisational and leadership skills, flexibility and innovation.
