Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive Haematological Histopathology service within a multidisciplinary team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Perform or supervise cut‑ups, microscopy, and other diagnostic techniques.
Report cases and support clinical meetings and case discussions.
Provide support in alternative specialty pathology where required and participate in additional programmed activities.
Adopt new diagnostic techniques and undertake training in digital pathology where necessary.
Qualifications
- FRCPath or equivalent.
- UK‑trained applicants must hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
- Non‑UK‑trained applicants must provide evidence of equivalence to UK CCT, full and specialist registration, a licence to practice, or be eligible for registration within six months of interview.
- Specialist training in Haematological pathology.
- Independent reporting of complex Haematological cases.
- Evidence of ability to make decisions at consultant level and to manage complex clinical problems.
- Ability to lead and support the leadership of others.
