We are seeking anexperienced, motivated, and dedicated Nurse/ODP to join our Theatres Education Team in Anaesthetics & Recovery for Churchill Theatres & Day Surgery Unit. This role will support the continued development of staff in clinical practice and deliver local and Trust Theatre specific training, This is an excellent opportunity to join a diverse and dynamic organisation. There are 19 Theatres across Surgery, Women's & Oncology Theatres.

  • Churchill Theatres& Day Case Unit -10 theatres providing regional Cancer & Transplant services across multiple specialities. Churchill Overnight Recovery Unit is a four bedded unit, providing 23 hour level 2 care to patients post major elective surgery.
  • Women's Centre Theatres - five theatres delivering benign gynaecology and Obstetric services.
  • Horton Theatres & Day Case Unit- 4theatres providing day case surgery for adults and children across a variety of specialities.

This role will be based in Churchill Theatres and the successful candidate will work collaboratively with the education team across the other theatre departments to deliver training and development for staff., As aClinical Practice Educator, your primary role will be to support the education and development of staff and students within the clinical area. You will be required to demonstrate excellentcommunication, influencing, and leadership skills. You will be encouraged and supported to further develop through the wide range of educational and experiential learning opportunities available. We have a comprehensive approach to staff development across all grades within theatres, supporting career progression and professional development.

We are looking for experienced and dynamic individuals with a strong interest in education within the clinical environment. You will haveexcellent interpersonal skills, anexceptional track record in clinical practice, experience ofinterprofessional working, and the ability toteach, support, and motivate others. A positive and flexible approach is essential, and you must be an effective team player.,

Qualifications

  • Degree in Nursing/ODP/Health Care Studies or equivalent
  • Specific Qualification - Theatres
  • Practice Supervisor & Assessor Course
  • Anaesthetic & Recovery experience
  • Experience supporting students/new staff
