Are you a chef with heart, creativity and a passion for making people smile?

The Croft is looking for a skilled chef to craft meals and create themed dining experiences for our residents.

Your role will involve preparing food that meets individual dietary needs, ensuring the highest quality and hygiene standards, and contributing to a warm, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and cook meals for residents, ensuring nutritional and dietary standards are met.
  • Develop themed dining experiences to enhance residents’ quality of life.
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene, food safety, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with care staff to accommodate special dietary requirements.
  • Assist with menu planning and inventory management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 months right to work in the UK.
  • Experience in a professional kitchen and strong understanding of kitchen operations.
  • Knowledge of the IDDSI framework or experience supporting complex dietary requirements (desirable).
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, including alternate weekends.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
