About the Role
The Painting and Decorating Operative is part of the QSHE team reporting to the Project Manager.
The role will participate in the refresh and maintenance of the structures/assets on the CIAL/St Athan sites and collaborate with the wider teams to undertake a range of duties to improve the appearance of the sites and the experience of both customers and stakeholders alike.
The P&D operative will primarily be completing painting and decorating activities throughout the terminal and admin buildings but will also include clearance of larger scale waste to skips, decorating repairs and any other reasonable request.
Painting activities will primarily be internal public and staff areas as part of ongoing maintenance, external painting refresh and painting and decorating activities for ongoing and future projects.
About you
You will need a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as your work will require engagement with internal and external teams to coordinate work around the daily operations.
Experience of Safe systems of work and a painting and decorating / construction background is desirable. You should have the ability to adapt to a changing working environment and manage time effectively.
