Cardea Healthcare is a specialist healthcare recruitment agency providing home care services and staff into residential settings. We are currently recruiting for charismatic and friendly Care Assistants to work in residential and nursing settings on a shift basis.

Job Summary

The main responsibilities of the job are to support the individuals living within the services to lead fulfilled lives. We care for a variety of individuals including those who are elderly/frail, have physical disabilities, palliative illnesses, and require end of life care.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assisting with all aspects of personal care
  • Encouraging participation in activities
  • Social inclusion
  • Promoting independence
  • Teaching life skills
  • Writing accurate and factual daily reports
  • Promoting and ensuring privacy and dignity
  • Working in a team and on an individual basis

The following attainments and personal attributes are considered essential to the post:

  • Self-motivated, responsible, and able to act on your initiative
  • Be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills

The role involves flexible working hours, and you may be asked to work evening shifts and weekends. Be willing to travel to different locations for shift cover.
