We have a fantastic opportunity for a Commercial Director - you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and overseeing the commercial operations of the business. This senior leadership role requires a deep understanding of the payments industry, merchant acquiring, and fintech solutions.

The Commercial Director will lead sales, business development, and account management teams to expand the company’s market share and enhance its competitive position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
    • Develop and implement a commercial strategy to drive revenue and market expansion.
    • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams within merchant services and payment solutions.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and optimize pricing strategies.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Set and achieve ambitious sales targets, driving the acquisition of new merchants and enterprise clients.
    • Establish and manage strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, payment processors, and technology partners.
    • Oversee sales performance, ensuring alignment with business goals and profitability objectives.
  • Partnership & Client Management
    • Develop and nurture relationships with existing clients to maximize retention and lifetime value.
    • Ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing support for merchants, enhancing customer experience.
    • Lead contract negotiations and commercial agreements with high-value clients and partners.
  • Financial & Operational Oversight
    • Work closely with the finance team to manage revenue forecasting, pricing models, and profitability analysis.
    • Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and scalability within merchant services.
    • Collaborate with technology teams to enhance payment solutions, ensuring they align with market demands.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing commercial team, fostering a results-driven culture.
    • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track progress and drive accountability.
    • Promote collaboration across departments to ensure business alignment and customer satisfaction.
Education and Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role within merchant services, payments, or fintech.
  • Strong knowledge of payment processing, acquiring, POS systems, and digital payment solutions.
  • Track record of driving revenue growth, managing strategic partnerships, and achieving commercial targets.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, pricing models, and P&L management.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
