As a Senior Engineering Geologist you will play a pivotal role in every stage of projects, managing clients, subcontractors, on-site work and data analysis to produce accurate interpretive reports.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Manage intrusive investigations such as drilling, sampling and in-situ testing.
- Log soils and rocks to BS standards.
- Liaise and manage clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Keep detailed site records, complete RAMS and manage health & safety documentation.
- Prepare report writing and data interpretation.
- Take ownership of site activities with support from experienced mentors and mentor graduates.
- Maintain accurate site records, logs and daily reports.
- Ensure works are carried out in accordance with specifications, standards and method statements.
- Process data and prepare reports as required.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Relevant degree in geology, engineering or similar.
- 4+ years in ground investigations.
- Experience working outdoors independently and in teams.
- Knowledge and understanding of safe working and SHEQ culture.
- Full UK driving licence and willing to travel or stay away as needed.
- Experience with direct exposure to site works, decision making, risk assessment and basic design and implementation of projects.
You may also have:
- CSCS Card, First Aid, EUSR HSG47 CAT 1 & 2.
- Awareness of environmental legislation or industry health and safety best practices.
- Desire to work towards a relevant chartership.
