We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner to come and join the party at cardfactory. This role partners with Executive and Senior Leadership teams across Commercial, Customer, Studio and Digital, to shape and deliver people plans and champion the people agenda. You play a big role in building a strong culture of great leadership to support and enable employees and teams to perform at their best. The successful candidate will build strong and trusted relationships with senior leaders, embedding themselves in their business areas through expertise, insight, and collaboration. We operate smart working principles at cardfactory, combining some days working from our support centre in Wakefield (min 2 days a week) with days working from home.
What you’ll do
- Partner with Exec and their leadership teams to design and implement a people plan to support business goals and drive organisational performance.
- Deliver a truly strategic Business Partner approach fostered through collaboration and a high support, high challenge approach to the leadership teams.
- Embed talent management initiatives, including succession planning and performance management, driving a performance management culture that encourages robust conversations around objectives and underperformance.
- Partner with leadership to navigate the complexities of expanding internationally from a people perspective, applying OD expertise and thought leadership to enable delivery of our global celebrations strategy.
- Identify opportunities to align HR practices across our markets as we grow our business through partnerships and acquisitions, collaborating with the broader HR team to define and drive an aligned plan.
- Provide expertise in relation to organisational design to ensure scalable, sustainable structures that are fit for future aligned to the enterprise target operating model.
- Support and lead change management initiatives, fostering a culture of learning, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
- Feedback insights through partnering and collaborating with the wider People function including Shared Service, People Development, Talent Acquisition and Reward to build solutions that are fit for purpose and scalable.
What you’ll need
- Significant experience of business partnering at Director/Exec Board level in a corporate commercial environment, ideally including Retail.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Ability to collaborate with others and engage broader expertise from the People function to create the best solutions.
- Mergers and Acquisitions experience/exposure is desirable.
- Previous experience working at pace, balancing immediate requests and strategic projects.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and to prioritise and manage your own workload effectively.
- Commitment to personal development and career progression.
- Coaching qualification desirable (or working towards accreditation).
