Were looking to welcome an Assistant Management Accountant into our Finance team! Reporting to the Finance Manager, youll play an important part in producing accurate and timely management accounts for our UK and ROI store estate. Alongside core month-end activity, youll have exposure to projects, process improvement and the wider Finance function as systems and ways of working develop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with large amounts of data and is keen to develop their career in Management Accounts.

Please note, the salary for this position is circa 30,000-35,000, with hybrid working that includes two office days per week at our Wakefield Support Centre (Wednesday and one other day).

What youll be doing:

  • Supporting the production of monthly management accounts for stores, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and commentary.
  • Posting and reconciling key costs such as payroll, business rates, service charges and insurance across the store portfolio.
  • Assisting with store and Support Centre costs, turnover rent calculations and year-end audit activity.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and VAT reporting, ensuring deadlines are met with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Working closely with Finance and non-Finance colleagues to answer queries and continuously improve reporting and processes.

What were looking for:

  • Previous experience from within a finance or accounting role.
  • Part qualified in ACCA/CIMA or AAT qualified with relevant experience.
  • Familiar with financial systems such as SAP / Sage.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence using Excel, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Well organised, adaptable and comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
