We are currently recruiting for an Allocator to join the Merchandising team at cardfactory. This is a pivotal role to ensure that we have the right stock in the right place at the right time. This opportunity is available on a 12-month fixed term contract. This role supports the Merchandising and Central A&R team to plan and execute inventory at sku/store level for the relevant category/channel to successfully achieve sales, profit, margin and stock targets (availability). You’ll be working collaboratively with the merchandising team to maximise inventory for events and new store openings as well as providing great customer service to our stores.

At cardfactory we operate a smart working policy combining some days working at our head office in Wakefield with some days working from home. In this role, you can expect to be in the office two days a week – and for the rest of the week, do what works best for you.

Main Responsibilities

  • Have ownership of stock at sku/store level
  • Deliver store/sku forecast accuracy improvements that can influence stock buys and markdown activities, delivering significant YOY improvement
  • Execute the delivery of options into all channels with Merchandising
  • Execute and measure Range launch with Merchandising
  • Manipulate category Alloc parameters to manage the flow of clearance stock to minimise markdown costs while maximising sales
  • Forecast future sales demand at store level for a set of categories to capture seasonal events, promotional activity and markdown to maximise availability in store
  • Ensure new store stock build plans are achieved in agreed timeframes
  • Ensure on time delivery of new range launches, plinths ends and all event activity

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good knowledge/experience of Supply Chain and Stock Management principles/processes
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Relex similar replenishment systems
  • Good communications skills at all levels
  • Experience in Supply Chain / Store Stock Management / Logistics / Operations
  • Demonstrable drive & commitment and willingness to learn and adapt
  • Good levels of planning, organisational skills and the ability to multi task
