Come and join the Card Factory team as our new Store Planning Assistant! With a keen eye for detail, you will be passionate about bringing physical spaces to life with precision and creativity. Using Adobe Illustrator to draught detailed and accurate store layout drawings to the correct standard and specifications. This role is available on a 12 month fixed term contract.
In this role you will collaborate with external architects, surveyors, and internal stakeholders to understand design requirements and produce precise, to-scale drawings that comply with industry regulations and health and safety standards. You will prepare working drawings for all project phases, including construction and installation. Additionally, creating drawings for tenders, legal contracts, planning permissions, and building regulation applications.
This is a hybrid role combining some days working from home and some at our head office based in Wakefield, with great links to the M1, M62 and free parking. You will be required in the office approximately 3 days out of 5 and our team anchor day is Tuesday.
Applications for part time hours or flexible working will also be considered.Role Responsibility:
- Responsible for ensuring layouts and drawings are prepared in a timely manner in-line with store activity and demands.
- Working with the Retail and Commercial departments to produce detailed site-specific merchandising layouts.
- Preparation of internal feasibility layouts taking into account building configuration.
- Liaise with appropriate stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet respective needs or alternatives are developed in preparation for project sign off.
The Ideal Candidate:
- CAD or Adobe Illustrator experience.
- Proficient user of various types of software including Microsoft Office and Adobe.
- Ability to create and read technical drawings and interpret survey reports.
- High level of attention to detail and capable of producing accurate work in a fast paced environment.
- Flexible approach to decision making, to make changes to drawings at short notice.
- Problem solving, creativity and innovation in order to come up with solutions to design problems.
- Works well as part of a team and good level of communication.
