If you get a buzz from seeing great product ranges land at just the right time, love using data to tell a story, and enjoy keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, then this could be your next step. At Funky Pigeon, we’re all about helping people celebrate the big moments, the small moments, and everything in between — with gifts and personalised products that make someone smile. We’re now looking for an Assistant Merchandiser to join our Gifting team and help keep our website stocked with the things our customers really love. This is a hybrid role, with at least two days a week spent in our Bristol Office, giving you the perfect balance of collaboration and flexibility.
What You’ll Be Getting Up To:
- In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our gifting ranges perform brilliantly. Day to day that means analysing sales, stock cover and sell‑through to keep trading on track, while also spotting risks and opportunities early and working with others to take the right actions.
- You’ll manage forecasting, stock intake and replenishment to make sure products are available exactly when customers want them.
- Close collaboration with the Buying team helps shape customer‑led, commercially sound ranges, and you’ll contribute to promotional planning as well as reviewing how events perform.
- You’ll also keep data accurate across all systems and manage sell‑through on dated or seasonal products.
- Alongside this, you’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across Buying, Marketing, Production, Suppliers, Finance and Tech to help us achieve our shared goals.
All of this sits within a collaborative, fast‑moving team where curiosity is encouraged, ideas are welcomed, and no two days ever feel quite the same.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in merchandising or planning within retail or e‑commerce.
- Confident working with forecasting, stock management and purchase orders.
- Advanced Excel skills and a natural flair for analysis.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is comfortable taking ownership.
- Communicates clearly and works well with different teams.
- Takes a commercial, proactive approach to problem solving.
