About The Role
Join Our Finance Team
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start their career in finance and gain hands‑on experience within a supportive and growing business.
Whether you're a recent graduate or in the early stages of your finance journey, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of accounting activities while building the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for a successful career in finance.
Working closely with our Finance Business Partner and wider Finance team, you'll support management accounting, reporting and day‑to‑day finance operations, gaining valuable insight into how a successful retail business operates.
We're committed to investing in our people, which is why we offer full study support towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA), alongside mentoring, development opportunities and clear career progression pathways.
What You’ll Be Doing
No two days are the same in this role. You'll gain experience across a broad range of finance activities, supporting the day‑to‑day running of the accounts function while helping to produce the financial information that drives business decisions.
You’ll process sales and supplier invoices, payroll and commission payments, employee expenses and VAT‑related transactions, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business, as well as suppliers and customers, helping to resolve queries and keep financial processes running smoothly.
You’ll also support financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, month‑end activities, budgeting, forecasting and audit requirements, giving you exposure to key areas of management accounting and helping you develop your commercial finance knowledge.
What We Need From You
We're looking for someone who's eager to build a successful career in finance and make the most of the development opportunities on offer. You'll have:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related subject
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confidence using Excel and working with data
- The ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- A proactive and organised approach to your work
- A curious mindset and an interest in understanding the business behind the numbers
- A desire to study towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA) and progress your career over the next 2‑3 years
Most importantly, you'll be enthusiastic, eager to learn and excited by the opportunity to grow your career within a supportive and collaborative finance team.
