About The Role

Exciting opportunityfor highly motivated, experiencedand fully qualified Electrician’s to join our team.
You will be working on ourexisting estate of stores carrying out planned and reactive electricalmaintenance as well as working new store installations, working alongside shopfit contractors.
The main duties include planning the layout of electricalwiring, diagnosing electrical problems and conducting general electricalmaintenance across the cardfactory portfolio of 1000+ stores, Support Centreoffices and distribution warehouses.
Undertaking periodic statutoryinspections, identifying and completing remedial works to ensure allinstallations are safe and fit for purpose in accordance with currentlegislation.
In the role of regional based Electrician, you will be workingwith a well-established and a supportive team of individuals. It’s fast pacedwith a variety of work and locations!
- Main Responsibilities
- Surveying sites whereelectrical systems are installed in buildings, fixtures and othercomponents to ensure they remain functional and in accordance withlegislation, as well as to identify any hazards or other issues whichcould disrupt the operation of the premises.
- Drafting electricalinstallation plans and technical diagrams for all electrical wiringincluding Emergency lighting, Fire Alarm systems, Portable Appliance Testing.
- Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing all electrical systems in buildings and associatedexternal areas.
- Ensuring that electricalsystems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations
- Supervising ongoingelectrical system installations and providing technical expertise toinstallation teams where needed
- Using blueprints, wiringdiagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete projects
- Completing work ordersand recording materials that are used on the job
- Complete any requiredremedial works following the 5yr fixed wire test reports.
- Identifying electricalproblems and repairing them
- Advising the company’smanagement when to replace aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards
- Conducting generalelectrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues withtesting equipment
- The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified to 18thedition electrical installation with 3+ years’ experience within role
- Up to date training on National Electric Code, British Standards Institution (BSI) codes as wellas update their knowledge about electrical concepts, safety protocols andany other building codes
- PASMA (tower scaffoldingtrained)
- Annual asbestosawareness certification in accordance with UKAS accreditation
- Good generalconstruction knowledge
- Excellent personalorganisational skills
- Strong communication andinterpersonal abilities
- Competent in problemsolving, planning and decision making
- Ability to keep track ofindustrial systems and National Electrical code
- Ability to be able toreact to none planned / emergency works when required
- Health and Safetyawareness together with basic First Aid and rescue skills
