We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our manufacturing business in Mitcham, Surrey, supporting a multi-site UK workforce of approximately 350 employees across both operational (shift-based) and office environments. This is a hands-on, site-based role delivering practical, consistent and people-focused HR support across a complex manufacturing environment.

You will drive HR process improvements, embed clear ways of working, and ensure policies and manager toolkits are fit for a shift-based workforce. You will also support engagement initiatives, CSR activities, and deliver clear HR communications across sites and shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive continuous improvement across HR processes
  • Develop SOPs, toolkits and manager guidance
  • Ensure consistent policy application
  • Maintain strong HR data governance
  • Oversee pay-impacting changes (shifts, premiums, allowances)
  • Ensure clear approvals and audit trails
  • Improve payroll accuracy and reduce queries
  • Support engagement, wellbeing and CSR initiatives
  • Deliver clear, shift-friendly communications
  • Equip managers with consistent messaging
  • Provide pragmatic HR advice
  • Support ER cases, investigations and hearings
  • Coach managers and ensure fair outcomes
