Location: Gloucester | Salary: £36862 - £38,662* (inclusive of sleep-ins – approx. 7 per month) | Job Type: Full-time, Permanent | Schedule: Shift work, including some weekends

Carbrey Group is expanding, and we are looking for compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join our specialist children’s home in Gloucester. The Role

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will support the Registered Manager and wider team to deliver outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people within a specialist complex behaviours Residential Care Home.

Key responsibilities

  • Support children to feel safe, valued, and cared for
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Help children process past experiences and develop life skills
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour through therapeutic care strategies
  • Promote a calm, structured, and nurturing home environment
  • Maintain accurate records and reports using IT systems
  • Lead shifts and support the day to day running of the home when required
  • Provide guidance, encouragement and positive role modelling to team members
  • Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in developing a strong, reflective and supportive team culture

Requirements

Essential:

  • Full UK Driving Licence (manual), held for at least 12 months
  • Willingness to work shift patterns, including weekends
  • Ability to work within a safeguarding and trauma-informed environment
  • At least 1 years' experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma or complex behavioural needs

Desirable:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - can be working towards
