About Us

The Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will support the Registered Manager and wider team to deliver outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people within a Residential Children's Care Home.
Key responsibilities:
- Support children to feel safe, valued, and cared for
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and professionals
- Help children process past experiences and develop life skills
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour through therapeutic care strategies
- Promote a calm, structured, and nurturing home environment
- Maintain accurate records and reports using IT systems
- Lead shifts and support the day to day running of the home when required
- Provide guidance, encouragement and positive role modelling to team members
- Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in developing a strong, reflective and supportive team culture
Requirements
Essential:
- Full UK Driving Licence (manual), held for at least 12 months
- Willingness to work shift patterns, including weekends
- Ability to work within a safeguarding and trauma-informed environment
- At least 1 year’s experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma or complex behavioural needs
Desirable:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – can be working towards
You will also be:
- Patient, resilient, and compassionate
- Energetic and proactive in your approach
- A strong team player with good communication skills
- Committed to improving outcomes for children and young people
