Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Photovoltaic Building Materials Sales Manager to support the growth of the Modernite product portfolio across the UK. This role combines business development, consultative sales, relationship management, exhibition support, and project coordination. The successful candidate will identify new opportunities, build strategic partnerships, promote innovative solar building products, and support smooth communication between customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle. This is a hybrid and flexible working position, suitable for individuals with experience or industry connections within construction, property development, renewable energy, roofing, glazing, façade systems, or related sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Sales
    • Identify and develop new business opportunities across residential and commercial markets throughout the UK.
    • Build and maintain relationships with property developers, architects, contractors, roofing companies, installers, distributors, and property owners.
    • Promote Modernite solar roof tiles, photovoltaic glazing, solar façades, and related building solutions.
    • Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, and commercial discussions.
    • Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations, and supporting sales documentation.
    • Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to project confirmation.
    • Maintain customer records and sales opportunities using CRM systems.
    • Gather market intelligence and competitor insights to support business growth and product development.
  • Exhibition & Marketing Support
    • Support the preparation and organisation of UK and international trade exhibitions, including customer invitations, marketing materials, product displays, meeting scheduling, and exhibition logistics.
    • Engage with potential customers during exhibitions and industry events.
    • Introduce products, collect customer information, and identify commercial opportunities.
    • Follow up exhibition leads, quotations, sample requests, project enquiries, and partnership opportunities.
    • Assist in the preparation of brochures, case studies, presentations, social media content, and other promotional materials to support Modernite brand development.
    • Represent CarbonFutureX Group at exhibitions, conferences, networking events, and industry activities.
  • Project Coordination Support
    • Support communication and coordination between customers, installation teams, suppliers, and internal technical teams.
    • Monitor project progress and provide timely updates to customers regarding key milestones.
    • Assist in resolving communication and coordination issues during project delivery.
    • Support smooth project execution while maintaining strong customer relationships.
    • Collect customer feedback and project insights to support future business development and product improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in sales, business development, account management, customer relationship management, or a related field.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Experience within construction materials, roofing systems, glazing, façades, property development, construction, renewable energy, or related industries is highly desirable.
  • Existing network or proven experience working with property developers, architects, contractors, roofing companies, façade/window specialists, renewable energy businesses, building consultants, or construction material suppliers is highly desirable.
  • Experience in project coordination, customer management, or cross-functional collaboration would be advantageous.
  • Ability to build long-term professional relationships and identify commercial opportunities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.

  • Business mileage allowance and approved travel expense reimbursement, including parking, accommodation, and transportation costs for client visits, exhibitions, training, and business activities.
