Commis Waiter - Mayfair, London Major Food Group is hiring an experienced Commis Waiter to join our team at Carbone London, located inside the Chancery Rosewood Hotel. As a valuable addition to our team, you must ensure that guests have a pleasant and memorable dining experience. The ideal candidates will be passionate and have a commanding knowledge about food, wine, and service in general. These individuals will be the key points of contact for guests throughout their dining experience. They must have the ability to work well with the team and provide the utmost level of hospitality to our guests. RESPONSIBILITIES: Delivers food from kitchen and delivers to guests in an accurate and timely manner Understands all menu offerings, food descriptions and ingredients and is able to verbalize to guests Set tables appropriately to ensure guests have everything needed at each stage of service Ensure expo and service station areas are organized and maintained Maintains cleanliness of tables between courses and resets tables upon completion of meal Assists front-of-house team with other duties as required or assigned REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2 years working in a high volume, upscale restaurant preferred Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds BENEFITS Dine on Major (Money to spend in any of our restaurants both in the UK & US) Meals on duty Life Assurance (2x your basic annual salary) Stream - a financial wellbeing benefit that provides you access to your pay as you earn it.
