We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of capital works projects. These projects include roof remedials, internal and external refurbishments of public buildings, and M&E and fire alarm upgrades. The successful candidate will lead projects from mobilisation through to handover, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Regional Head of Projects.
- Lead project delivery from mobilisation to completion.
- Develop scopes of work, engage SHEQ and Temporary Works departments, and finalise programmes.
- Coordinate with consultants, statutory bodies, and planning teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Manage subcontractors, budgets, programmes, and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure works are delivered safely, to high-quality standards, and within agreed timescales.
- Oversee activities in live environments, minimising disruption to building users.
- Provide regular progress, risk, and financial performance reports to senior management.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience managing refurbishment and energy efficiency projects within live environments.
- Strong technical understanding of construction across multiple disciplines.
- Essential certifications: SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), First Aid, Temporary Works Certification, Asbestos Awareness.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety with a strong track record.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
