As a Work Preparation Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring all necessary information, materials, and conditions are in place before physical work begins. The position focuses on safety, quality, and compliance within a highly regulated environment. You will act as the key link between design engineering and on-site construction teams, ensuring readiness for piping installation activities and resolving technical queries before they impact the schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure timely and compliant readiness of documentation, materials, and logistics for piping installation (large and small bore).
- Serve as the primary interface between design teams, the client, and on-site construction teams.
- Manage the creation and acceptance of detailed Construction Work Packs (CWPs) essential for field execution.
- Support site managers with installation documentation and preparation.
- Maintain strong health and safety leadership on-site.
Full-time site-based role, Monday to Friday.
Requirements- HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field); NVQ Level 3 or equivalent trade qualification.
- Proven experience in construction/installation environments, ideally within highly regulated sectors such as nuclear, oil & gas, or petrochemicals.
- Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects is essential.
- SC clearance and proof of right to work in the UK.
- Familiarity with piping systems, pressure systems regulations, engineering standards, and tools such as Navisworks.
