Responsibilities
- Designing, advising on, and validating electrical control systems to meet project requirements.
- Validating electrical design documentation such as wiring diagrams, cause & effect charts, and equipment schedules for technical submittals.
- Collaborating to define system architecture and requirements for interfaces with third-party systems.
- Generating AutoCAD control panel drawings and specifying components for manufacturing and technical documentation.
- Programming, configuring, and deploying PLC & HMI systems.
- Configuring integrated equipment such as VSD’s and detection systems.
- Performing panel software integration and testing.
- Troubleshooting commissioning issues and providing technical support with occasional site visits when required.
- Assisting with product development activities including simulation testing, debugging, and deployment.
Qualifications
- HND/HNC or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
- Experience in control panel design and software automation platforms.
- Must be proficient in control system software (e.g., ladder logic, structured text, function block, HMI visualisation), preferably Siemens TIA Portal or similar.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
- Proficiency in CAD tools for electrical design (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and implement changes in challenging situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
