Clearance: BPSS (DBS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Proof of Right to Work in the UK
Survey manager to deliver a specific Geotechnical scope of work within the project team. The candidate will report to the projects Survey Package Manager.
Day to Day Duties:
- Ensuring compliance with safety, health, well-being, and environmental standards are reached and where possible proactively improved.
- Reading and understanding relevant scope of work & specification documents.
- Read and understand survey contractor project execution plan.
- Participate in Technical Kick-Off meetings with survey contractor.
- Attend the Vessel Mob and port calls circa 1 time per month. (Possibly in the UK or Netherlands).
- Responsible for mob report/checklist, and ensuring overall deliverables are achieved.
- Attend daily calls, track progress, manage works optimisations.
- Co-ordinate team to ensure minimal disruption or delay to survey if fishing kit or other obstacles are encountered.
- Maintain standards set by client’s values, golden rules, and ways of working.
Essential requirements:
- Level 8 NQF qualification in related discipline (Geotechnical Engineering / Geology / Geophysics).
- Minimum 3-year’s offshore marine surveying supervision experience Individuals proposed. must have demonstrable experience of supervising the types of survey / investigation detailed above.
- Experience in performing the role of survey manager for offshore wind ground investigations.
- Possess good organisational and communication skills in the offshore environment.
- Experience in monitoring contractor’s performance and resolving issues on site.
- Experience of monitoring, inspection, and control of quality documentation on site.
- Fluent English speaking and able to write technical reports in English.
- Computer skills: MS Office applications (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Familiar with vessel emergency response procedures and understand the role of Offshore Representative in an emergency.
