Location: Brize Norton, Oxfordshire — minimum 60% on-site (hybrid)

Contract: Until December 2026 (with potential to extend)

Hours: 35 hours per week; Mon–Thu 08:00–16:15, Fri 08:00–13:00

Pay Rate: £30.00 per hour (Umbrella) / £22.43 per hour (PAYE)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

About the role

Carbon60's defence client has an exciting opportunity to support a major UK defence-related programme within a fast-paced Business Operations environment. You’ll be central to procurement governance, supply chain coordination and supplier interface activities. Ideal for someone who excels in structured processes, stakeholder communication and operational delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare Requests for Quotes and ensure sourcing aligns with internal buying policies and governance requirements.
  • Raise and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders using SAP and MySupply.
  • Post goods receipts and ensure invoices are processed and paid promptly.
  • Maintain procurement records, order books and reporting dashboards.
  • Liaise daily with suppliers and internal teams to resolve delivery, paperwork and order issues.
  • Support supplier performance reviews, including KPIs, risk management and improvement actions.
  • Assist finance with budget control, procurement forecasting and expenditure planning.
  • Manage stock planning, including optimisation of MOQ and safety stock levels.
  • Release consumables orders based on demand, lead time and cost considerations.
  • Lead weekly meetings with consumables suppliers and provide regular PO/service status updates.

What you’ll bring

Essential

  • 3+ years’ experience in Procurement or Supply Chain.
  • Strong SAP experience and confident MS Office skills.
  • Excellent organisation, planning and communication abilities.

Desirable

  • Experience with MySupply.
  • Procurement-related qualifications.
  • Proactive approach and ability to adapt to shifting operational priorities.
