Overview

Role: Senior Group Reporting Accountant

Sector: Renewable Energy

Location: Hybrid - 2-3 Days in either Perth, Scotland or Glasgow, Scotland

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12-Months + Possible Extension

Working Pattern: Monday - Friday

Clearance: BPSS (DBS/DS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK

Experience Required

  • Fully qualified Accountant with 5+ years Post Qualified Experience in a Financial Reporting or External Audit role, ideally with plc or relevant industry experience
  • Experience of listed plc reporting and consolidation requirements would be advantageous.
  • Fully up to date knowledge of accounting standards and corporate governance requirements
  • Interpretative and analytical skills to assimilate complex issues into reporting and accounting solutions.
  • Continuous improvement approach focusing on process efficiency.
  • Able to manage numerous complex tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently on complex issues.
  • Personal resilience and drive are essential.

Functional & Technical Skills

  • Chartered Accountant or equivalent
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Previous knowledge of Thomson-Reuters OneSource would be advantageous.
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Knowledge of statutory reporting and consolidation systems, processes, and workflow
